Community Service Announcements

UGFM – Radio Murrindindi is part of your community right across the Murrindindi Shire and surrounds, and we are ‘for the community’.  

If you are a member of a not-profit community group, club or organization and have an event or activity that you would like to actively promote and to receive airtime on UGFM in our Community Service Announcements – simply send us your press-release or information sheet via email or fax and we will add it to our regular announcements on air.  

You should include the following information keeping it brief and concise:

What – Information on what he activity or event is

When – the activity or event is taking place

Where – the activity is taking place (Including the town and location)

Who – to contact for more information (A single phone number or email address)

Cost/donation of attending (if any)

What the name of the not-for-profit organization holding the activity or event is and who the funds raised go to.

Along with your ‘Community Service Announcement’, please supply your full contact details and send it in with plenty of lead time prior to the day (2-4 weeks) to UGFM either via:

If you would like to talk about and promote your community event or activity ‘on-air’ prior to it taking place you should contact us, please give us plenty of lead time (2 weeks minimum) so we can arrange an interview on an appropriate program.

If your community event is significant enough we can arrange for an Outside Broadcast by UGFM to occur as well, talking about the event, interviewing guests and interesting people live to air. This however will incur some minimal cost and is subject to availability of our volunteers as well, we need at least 6 weeks lead time of prior notice.

Otherwise we may be able to attend and cover your activity or event as a news item by recording interviews with people on the day.
