With the world wide pandemic created by the spread of COVID-19 we here in Australia have to do our bit to slow the spread of the virus and limit the impact on the population and health system at large.
UGFM – Radio Murrindindi is your local Community station and designated emergency broadcaster. Our team of dedicated volunteer broadcasters intend to keep you up to date with all of the official information and daily regular updates.
Most people get the fact that we must limit our movements in any way we can to reduce the possibility of the virus’ spread and the reasons why.
On the other hand some people just don’t care, don’t think the rules apply to them, or don’t have any idea about what is happening and the deadly seriousness and consequences of the situation. They are totally ignoring all of the messaging across all forms of media or are simply oblivious to what is happening around them and their responsibilities to limit the impact on us all. Stay at home, means just that!
The spread of COVID-19 across Asia, Europe and America is frightening with the number of deaths that are occurring every day, this could happen here if we don’t all play our part and stay put, continue to have a extremely high level of hygiene and think about the things that really matter.
UGFM – Radio Murrindindi intends to positive and provide as much normality in our programing during this time with the state of emergency and uncharted territory we find ourselves in.
