Dedicated to Rick (Bones) MacKinnon
Since commissioning our new Outside Broadcast Unit we have been very busy attending community events across the Murrindindi Shire from the Yea Races to Carols by Candlelight, Music in the Park (Rotary Park), Get Ready Day in Marysville, ANZAC Day, both the Alexandra and Yea Shows, Alexandra PRO Rodeo, Schools Recording Project in Kinglake, Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend, the ASC Jam Sessions, Trout Open Eildon, Alexandra District Health Open Day, Yea Picnic Races, Narby View Wildlife Shelter fundraiser, Friends of the Library Bookshop Alexandra and the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show.
Unfortunately we recently lost one of our fine broadcasters and committee member in Rick (Bones) MacKinnon. Bones as he was known to his listeners was the host of Highway One 8-10pm Saturday Nights that had a huge following.
Rick was always there to help and lend a hand including many Outside Broadcasts like the Alexandra Show in 2019 (pictured) and was a keen and enthusiastic UGFM committee member.
Bones was taken from us way to soon just a week prior to being married to Kate. He leaves behind Kate and his 2 year old son Jack. RIP Rick (Bones) MacKinnon.
